P0327 low input knock sensor

A friend of mine(350Z owner) has this code and cant find the answer to the problem on MY350Z they are too busy finding ways to flame so he is looking here for the answer to this problem before he goes to the dealer for *** rapage. Sometimes the car will randomly go into limp mode, there is loss of power and a lag before the throttle responds. symptoms of a knock sensor problem, it has been replaced and still the same problems. Has anybody else also had this problem and have a solution to it? No BS please, thanks in advance.

Im the owner of the 350z, the code is P0327 (low input knock sensor). My car just bogs and there is this lag when i step on it. I step on it and i have to wait a couple of sec. before i get any response. And when i do it feels like the motor is running out of breath "if that makes any sense". The car just feels slower compared to other Zs + that lag. So what i did was replace my knock sensor which btw looked bad (corroded). Code was gone and difference was like night and day. Couple days later it feels slow again and code is back??? Do u guys think it's the knock sensor wiring harness? It looked fine when i saw it. If any of you can give me some advice as to what to look for it will be greatly appreciated. THanks!

Probably the harness... they actually sell it as a kit to get the harness and sensor together at qualityparts.

Does it happen more often on wet days? Did you loose the little rubber o-ring that sits in the connector??

Thanks for the response guys! THe power loss is 24/7 wet or dry. I actually bought my Z with the code and never realized my car is slower till i drove my friends Z. So i will try and replace my wire harness, is there anything else that may cause this? I didn't see anything wrong with the harness when i swapped the sensor, but there is nothing else i could think of other than knock sensor/wire harness?

The fsm page that was posted is actually the best advice you will ever get. Follow it and ask questions later if you have em.

It actually also suggests you check the ground cables etc.
