yeah, that's pretty sad, seeing that other folks have the same mods like me, I think I'm almost that fast, if not faster(like WillSe).
I dont have all those goodies(a/v comonents), but 75gs?? Way too much $$$, way too slow!! peace.

The horsepower they quoted in the article stated it was at the wheels. That accounts for parasitic loss (18-20% on front wheelers) that manufacturers horsepower claims take into effect, plus they would not be using Nitrous when on a dyno.....so maybe the figures are slightly discounted from cars real abilities. And if not.....its still really pretty. (wife)

Well, I remember that car before it was a movie star...

But, by far, this was the NICEST car there...

With 300 - 400lbs of stereo equipment, that 1/4 mile time seems accurate.

Id also say those times are accurate with what the car weighs..The 4th gen curb weight is 31XX pounds..his cars curb weight is 389X pounds...thats just about 800 pounds of extras he has...I think he had in mind an all out show car, not just a fast one....id say all the speed mods are on the car just to keep the performance what it was near stock(or at least a little faster)..I personally would have spent all the money he did on speed mods/engine work and made it the worlds fastest Maxima, not the worlds most exspensive...btw I wonder who estimated the value of the car at $75,000..probably HIM!!!!

I object to their claim that that car is the most modified maxima in existence. Kenwood's Maxima included custom paint, same brakes, supercharger and killer system and wheels. In addition, the car had a one off billet grill made.

What I dont get is why the hp to the wheels only shows 221 with a supercharger? I thought it would be well in the 250s or higher to the wheels.

But still, they show a HP of only 256 at the crank, which still seems low, and then the 0-60 at 7.1??? Cant be with the supercharger.

Keving, tell me Jane's car aint that slow?

Jane's car pulled 230 at the wheels with a GReddy and SC... that's about 300 at the crank with a 25% drive loss.

I object to what he says too...I remember Motorex had a 2k Maxima SE converted into an R34 with Laser Blue paint, plus several other engine and interior mods...if you do an estimate that Maxima probably worth around $10,000...there's nothing special about that guy's Maxima, I don't know why the film crew picked his car for the movie...there's many other folks out there with even better looking Maximas with better performance. And there's some members on this forum with tight a$$ rides too. If you think about it thoroughly, his car is not worth $75,000.....and one other thing, no offense but all that stickers on his car look kinda lame. I'm not trying to attack the guy or anything, just debating against that his car being special cuz he threw all that money into it...it's a nice ride with some cool mods, but it ain't special at all, it did not and still does not deserve to be in a film which was to be published world wide.

Maybe there is something "special" hidden in the car that drives up the value. He is running from the with 600lbs of "speakers"?

That's marketing for you. Who wants to go see the "third most modified Maxima in existence"? Everyone wants to see number one!

And I'm gonna start hanging out in the 5th gen forum from now on.

When people posted up that this Maxima was nothing special in the other forums, they got flamed like no tomorrow... "Why you dissing on the FnF Maxima? You would kill to get that Maxima, so stop hatin'! You just jealous cause you ain't got 75K to blow on your Maxima! You wish your Maxima was in a movie too!"
