HEADLIGHT MOD: BLACK OR CHROME HOUSING

About to purchase new halo headlights today. Stuck between the black or chrome housing. Any suggestions. The chrome will compliment the car. But the black is killer.

Can I convince you to not buy the halo headlights? You will lose much usable light output for the expense of looking cool.

Usually any aftermarket headlight has less output because the reflectors are not OEM. Even the projectors will have less output. Maybe with a good re-aim and some HIDs, the projectors won't have bad output?

Had a accident a couple months ago. so i got one brand spanking new, and one with nine years of driving. I did the restoration. Made it alot better. But my wife said i could order a new one, so why not get two.

Then you have two options. You buy the ebay projectors and retrofit HID projectors in them. Here is a picture of that done. Here, the .org member sprayed the chrome shrouds with nightshades.

Your other option is to pickup some 5.5 gen HIDs and call it a day.

I'd do a retro to the ebay ones, but get rid of the halos while im in there. Good projectors even with halogens are atleast equal to the OEM 5.5 HIDs.

they are angel eye halo projectors with HID in them ???
Those look like the cheap Ebay projectors only they come with rebased (to H4) HID bulbs. Since those are H4 rebased, then they're the same projectors meaning they are the crappy halogen projectors with terrible beam pattern.

I recommend against buying them.
