Interior Removal

ok, I am sound deadening my car and am in the process of removing the interior. I am stuck on the part where the carpet goes under the heater controls and around the ECM. Do you have to remove the dash to do this or is there a trick that I am missing along the way.

You will have to unbolt the dash in the center where it mets the floor, to work the carpet out. But first you'll have to cut the carpet behind the ECM at the firewall. Carpet is put in before the dash at the factory. If your careful you can also cut the carpet in 2 places under the ECM to remove the carpet. This second way might make the carpet too lose and easily moved with foot traffic.
