Pretty much what happened is the douchebag ran the red light.

I was aproaching my red light slowly then came to a complete stop. I was on my way to school 12:25 PM. Music wasn't even that loud and my windows were down. I was wearing my seatbelt. The light turns green for me and i proceed slowly and thats when it happend. I remember slamming on my breaks no more 1/2 a second before getting hit from my left. My maxima did a 270 so i ended up facing the oncoming traffic. All I remember is not feeling anything at all during the actual crash. I made only 10 ft out of the hole then boom...

The truck that hit my was a Ford F350 Dually and was going at least 60 mph. He tried running the red light and probably didn't see me. 1 second late and I wouldnt be typing this.

If he got a ticket the most you can expect is for you to get money for your car and give or take an additional $5k (unless its a commercial vehicle)

Holy crap thats pretty brutal thank god you're OK it could have been much worse sucks for the ride but at least you wern't hurt.

 

I hope you're alright after all of that...did you see a doctor afterward? You may have felt fine but they say injuries from accidents may not appear for a few days so it's best to get checked out just in case. Also helps with court cases n such. But damn R.I.P. to a beautiful max...

 

Damn see if you can buy it back from the insurance company and part it out or something.

MAN that sucks. I hope they got a huge ticket and pay for your car. I was heading through a green light and some fool tried to either make the yellow or blatantly ran the red (VERY short light his way) so my beautiful 3rd gen (probably best looking 89 still around...) nailed that butt holes 93 buick crapmaster in the side and totalled my car. He freaking LIED about the light and with no witnesses or cameras I got nothing for my car!!! (no ticket for either, but DUDE) and yes I think your car is totalled if that's what you meant by what do you think?

as far as parting..Im gunna wait till the apraiser comes from the other insurance company...I already asked my attorney about it since there might be a fee for keeping the car...gotta see if its worth it

I'll take some pics of the interior tomorrow morning..most likely will be posted up in the afternoon if i get lazy.

Black Cloth interior manual a/c..etc....everything from the back is perfect...IDK about that 6spd tranny...might be good might not...the stick still goes perfectly into gears but idk if thats means anything...keep you guys posted on my updates and all...

Im sorry to hear about the max but it's good you're alright. My dad got rear ended today in his brand new altima on the highway (traffic jam)....most people should not be allowed to drive...

 

that same day everyone was driving like **** too...but guys, I had my 6 spd 5.5th running great, powerfull, ready to drop new cattman headers/exhaust....i wanted to break 300 wheel hp ...bah

But I'm looking into the M45 (since the 35s are costing more since they "save" more gas)..or a 06' G35..or that new 370z....mmmm..
any suggestions???

Damn, That was a big hit and yes that F-350 trucks are like 6000 plus trucks

and man we all are glad that your ok,because your car took a good hit. The

hit looks so devestating and If you did move up a little more off the line, I am

sure the car would of cave in more and it would of been a death or paraylisation. I would get the infiniti but the 370z will have some high insurance, but get what you like and what you can aford.

yea **** that 370Z...aluminum doors and im dead...honestly I thought about getting another maxima 5.5th but i cant find any that are 6 spd and if i did, it would suck since mine was a "factory freak". and i havent liked any other gen max..

Im honestly thinking a 2007 Chevy Tahoe 4x4..

Yes should be good man. Hell if you was closer i would help you part it out. When mine got stole and totaled the core support was sitting on my motor. Everything was still good when removed.

 

I have an 03 6 spd in palm beach gardens. I dont know if I would sell it though, the car really is worth that much to me and I feel you when you say you kept yours in great shape. (The 6 spd is def fun still after 5 years..) LMK if you PIO.

You should go with another 5.5 or a bmw..mercedes c350? Go big or go home....its going to be hard to find something you like after the 5.5. 370z if you dont plan to have a family anytime soon. Used 06 M5 you might be able to pull some strings for 35-40k...you'll probably totally forget you had a 5.5...haha glad you're ok though man whew! Like everyone says you can replace the car but not yourself.
