Megan test pipe too long

I ordered a Megan test pipe off ebay for my 03 Maxima 6 speed and it arrived today. It seems to be 3.5" longer than the factory part I am replacing. I am assuming that they sent me the wrong part. Am I stupid and missing something?

Return it, Megan does not make a proper length test pipe for your car trust me. The ad says they fit several years of maximas which they dont.

So the pipe is too long? It's 3.5 inches longer than the cat?

I called Megan, and they said it sounds like I have one for a 97-99 Maxima. Does that make sense? Would the 97-99 Cat be 3.5" longer than the 00-03 cat?

Why not just have a muffler shop cut it and weld it to fit?

Too much work. Will just have it swapped out if that fact is true. Soon I will do a full cat back.

RMT Performance. Perfect fit. Cheap. No issues.

get it from Warpspeed, youll have to call them though. I got mine for $50 and I'm pretty sure it's stainless steel. Its even holding up better than my cattman catback. That should tell you something. Fitment is perfect, finish is great.

I thought Warpspeed quit making the test pipe. Hopefully I heard/thought wrong.
