You stole my line about the hockey stick!!

It's the first think I noticed. I had one holding up my hatch for a coiuple years.

My son blows threw a stick every copuple weeks. I should sell them as hood and hatch holders.

Sweet swap nbby the way. Did you have the timing chain and tensioners replaced before you did the swap?

I'm assuming the issue with a 02 Altima is the same as the Maxima 3.5's.

Numbers that close...seems like it will be a driver's race everytime. Not enough of a difference to make any REAL claims...at least IMO...

Of course labor wise, most automotive techs would be wise enough to charge big $$$ for a electronics intense ECU/harness swap the 3.5 requires. but in reality, they really cost the same and take about the same hours. Most techs are not up to, or don't want to mess with the task of swapping the ECU and harness. I wasn't up to the task of swapping parts!

Good stuff but you're not the first unfortunately lol. There's one up here in Canada with the 3.5 for quite some time now, also has many more mods than you. But good work regardless.

Its been done before. This guy guy local did it. At first i didnt believe him when he told me.. so i had to actually see it. Its a 2001 AE with a 02 motor and transmission. It rides real smooth. He had a smashed 02 max and swapped everything. Hes got bose from the 02 and hes got an 02 GLE cluster. Heres a pic

nice work man, any signs of oil burning, or is it good?. i used hood struts from a lexus GX470, hood opens pretty high, but it works for me..why didnt you try and get a tranny from a I30t, thats LSD, cuz i know the AE tranny aint cheap. sucks that you dont have LSD anymore. Almost like you had to give up something for something, give up LSD for 3.5 motor
