A little more info would be helpful. That looks like it adjusts your A/F ratio. Is it an output you tie between your PCM and injectors like a power commander or is it one of those things that tricks your pcm into misreading your MAF like those cheesy resistors or what??

Also you do realize leaning your engine out more than stock is dangerous to your engine correct? Are you monitoring your 02 to check your A/F while leaning out the mixture? On that note your stock ECM will just compensate for a lean/rich mixture by changing your long term fuel trims.. Since you go open loop at WOT this may help you when racing but will put more wear and tear on your engine. Don't install this unless you have a way to monitor your 02 sensor voltage.

well im not looking to really tune to much with this. its more for like a visual thing... you can see your a/f ratio and your throttle%... and your rpms on the screen i like that i dont wanna tune it just mostly for looks!

Use all the VAFC/SAFC-II diagrams to locate what you need to tap and splice here:

On a SAFC, you should really only need the pins for MAF, tach, TPS, ground, and power.

You don't see the AFR with this. You can make adjustments to it by manipulating MAF voltage, ie. tricking the ECM by altering the MAF readings it is receiving, but the AFC does not actually "see" the AF ratio levels. It is based on +/- adjustments off whatever the ECM has as current AF ratios.

The display only does stuff like MAF % Airflow, RPM, Throttle %, battery voltage, etc. Display options basically coincide with the parameters whose pins you are tapping into.

In essence, piggybacks don't display AF, unless you have an extra wideband O2 sensor bunged into your exhaust someplace to see what your actual AF ratio is, but the display will be either on an independent gauge, or your laptop, for applicable piggybacks like the UTEC, Emanage.

You can just reinitialize it once you power it up and that will erase all the adjustment settings. The option is under the menu someplace and the default password from the factory is usually just "0000" or "1234". It was "0000" on my old VAFC-II.

You should be able to use the SAFC-II manual or contact Apexi to see if they can send you a pdf of the SAFC manual.

Racing alone puts more wear and tear on engine, regardless if he's adjusting AFR or not.
