At what point did you realize that one more money sign would give us hint that the economy is not great right now?

I think 2 maximas having is more then swap speed of 6 or 5 type, thy drive way that is made of pavement will have 2 maximas on it and shall love thee

I have a automatic 2k max, I will be swapping in a 3.5l engine next year and wanted to also change to a 5/6 speed. Can I use any manual tranny from 2l and up, do they all bolt up to the engine the same? Or do I have to use specific ones such as only 5 speeds or such..

I ask because I've read about this swap being done, but there isn't any info on doing this swap in a 5th gen, everyone did the 3.5l swap into a 4th gen

thanks

What do you mean 2L and up? Why would you go shopping for a VQ20 trans anyway?

There isn't any info on which swap...VQ35, or 6MT?

VQ35, it's the same as the A32 minus the injector harness connectors. 6MT, it's pretty close as well.

vq20 trans? What are you talking about?

There wasn't any info bout anyone with a 2000 maxima swapping the 3.5 in. There ALSO wasn't any info that I could find about anyone with a 2000 maxima doing a manual swap. Which is why I'm asking...

Pretty close is relative, is it bolt up or are you just stating your inference?

Again, it's virtually the same as in an A32 swap. The VQ35 will drop right in to the A33. Are you looking at a hybrid or complete swap?

Is what bolt up, the 6MT to the VQ35, the 6MT to the VQ30, 5MT/VQ35, or 5MT/VQ30?

There are several threads about 5/6 speed swaps in the A33s.

The first hit when searching for a relevant thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...0-5th-gen.html

Long story short, the information is all here on the org. All you have to do is search.
