The above part doesn't fit directly you would have to modify Sosche released a better model: NN1648B

i bought this kit, and im really not happy with it, i bought a gxe kit. the color wasnt perfect, and the fit was sloppy, it just felt loose. i had mecp installer do the work for me so it was done properly. im sure if i werent totally a perfectionist when it comes to my interior it would be fine. im using an avic2 if that makes a difference. its just a basic dd, it does fit the space nice and flush tho so its not all bad.

I have the scosche 1494B.

If you are installing a 2-din HU like a Avic or something you should be ok.

If you are trying to run 2 single din units (like me) the schosche is an EPIC FAIL and it is garbage.

I got mine installed by a place I know that used to do the car installs when I worked at Kenwood. They did a double din on one of the new DDX-514's for me in february and said there was no actual kit's that fit so they had to modify one for me and cut out a part like you guys said. I can't tell and they fit it perfectly so I got no complaints, Ill try and get some pics up or see if I can find out which kit they did use.

Scosche now DOES have a double DIN kit that fits fairly well. Color is the SLIGHTEST bit off, but it should suffice.

The gap can be easily remedied with a piece of ABS plastic glued in from behind.

The gap looks taller than it really is due to the flash. It's actually not that noticeable.

Do you think that it is worth it to get the GXE kit or just go with the Schosche?

Depends how particular you are regarding the color and the gap. Weigh your pros and cons- gap, price, color, ease of install, etc.

like if i get the schosche kit ill end up painting it black, but i do like the look of the GXE kit though. What I might do is buy the schosche kit for know then buy the GXE kit later because I am trying to finish off my system. With luck I might find one at a junk yard if noone has taken it.

Buy the one directly from Nissan. It looks/fits a whole lot better.

It should, unless you dont have a Bose radio. But it should be able to fit nicely I have one in my maxima.

Thats what the kit will look like after installed. Colors match pretty well.

WRONG! The I30's have a completely different dash shape than the maximas. There is currently NO aftermarket dash kit for the I30.

Please check your facts before posting. Or just don't post at all.

There is an OEM JDM version available. Very rare, very limited quantity, very expensive (something like $150). The only person I know that can get it is Sycefiro. PM/email him.
