Anyone have any recommendations for winter tires? My dealer suggests 225/55/r16 Toyo Garrett but a buddy at a tire shop suggests 205/65/r15 Goodyear Ultragrip. The 15s are about 2/3 the cost and my buddy says will be better in the snow/ice that we get here in Ottawa, Canada.

From reviews that I've read, the Goodyears are great tires, albeit a bit pricey. I considered them for my car (2k2 SE 6spd) but the price was about $1200 CDN without tax.

I instead went with 215/55-16 Nokian Hak NRW's on steel wheels. I've read many good things about these tires, but have no snow experience with them. I paid $840 CDN before txs.
