ohh boy....engine misfire problems

ok, here the deal, june 26th i got in my car started right up, no problems.... but i notice my check engine light is off(it was a 0420 an 0412 codes o2 sensers) anyway, i get in my car at about 1130pm an no engine light... the tcs and SLIP lights are both on.

nope no codes atleast not for 2days, and the other lights came on, but it was not the check light, just the optional lights like if you slip that light stayed on and if you turn the tcs off, it was on. but neither were real lights like they were on but not for a real reason... i dont really know how else to explain it

Did you Try to reset the computer? Unplug the Positive Terminal for 10 min. and plug it back up. Hopefully they come off and never come back on haha.

there is a thread on there on what the resistance readings should be on the coil packs to see if they are bad. I doubt your coil packs are bad though unless you are running rough.

I am sure the TCS and SLIP lights mean something but it probably has something to do with your transmission. Try searching and i bed you find some answers.

To start off i would disconnect your negative terminal and reset the ecu and see if anything comes back. I like to hit the brakes turn on the headlights and try and start the car with the battery disconnected which seems to work the same as letting it sit for 10 minutes without all the waiting.

You're right, it was probably a gremlin...

I was having problems with the TCS and the slip lights staying on and my gas mile went to S@*t so I asked some questions on the org and they all came back as "COIL PACK" so I had it checked out sure enough thats what it was. At the time I couldn't do or didn't know anyone to do the work for me so I took it to the dealer and let just say I'm still sore from being F$@*KED. What they told me when the coils or coil went out it stuttered and when it did that the computer thinks that the wheels slipped and that is what caused the TCS and Slip light to come on got them changed and haven't had a problem since.

how do you know it's misfiring? I think it's not easy to diagnose and conclude it's a misfiring problem.

Well coils/plugs/maf/ and a few other things could cause the "misfire" but like stated above u sure it's misfiring? As for what's throwing the codes i got no clue.. or the lights.. For all I know you could fix all the above and still have your problem.. Need mroe info..
If possible?

The sucking noise is a vacuum leak. Check all your vacuum lines in the area.
