(Update with Pics) Wheel Spacers installed

Weeks ago I posted asking for help in choosing some wheel spacers for my set up. After all the input I received (thanks to all) and my own measurements I decided on getting the bellow:

-H&R 5mm Spacers for the Front
-H&R 10mm Spacers for the Rear

*Rims I currently have on - 5zigen Fn01rc (18 x 8.5 with 38 offset)

Now on to the pics:

The FRONT

The REAR

Others:

Overall I like the way they look. However, I feel I should probably go with 15mm or maybe 20mm in the rear and it would look much better. I'm just going to ride with these for a while and upgrade later.

Thanks man...the front is PERFECT. The rear could use a little more pushout.

i have 5mm front and back, seems to me the studs are a little short for me. How did you feel after installing the 10mm in back? enough thread left for the lugnut to bite onto?

20mm in tha rear nothing less.... looks nice though. I would like to see pics a little farther away... I have been tempted to do the front.

Dang aftermarket stud threads are giving me problems 2nd time I took the wheels off.

H&R spacers typically come w/ longer studs ... even for 5mm.

Its feels fine. The dust caps had to be removed in the rear.

Looks great, IMO, don't think you need the rears out any further, maybe 15 mms would still work, but that's it.

And can you add your pics and specs to this thread please? I think it'll be useful information.

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...cs-thread.html

Thanks.

Didn't a few of us already give you the answer to this in your thread in Wheels and Tires? Most spacers already come with studs, if not, you can get them from the manufacturers of the spacers themselves like H&R, Eibach, Ichiba, etc. ARP also makes good, strong, extended studs.

Google is your friend, for example:

Thanks.

I would say 15mm would be good..possibly without rubbing too. But now that I have this on I want to go wider like 20mm and roll my fenders lol. But that's next time cuz it was a pita to knock the studs out.

I added the pics and specs to that thread btw.

They came with the kit, as is typical with most H&R kits.

Most get them for looks. That and they increase the wheelbase.

For those who want to push their rims out so they are flush. So yeah looks pretty much.

Hmm...why not buy the rims you want with the right offsets instead of getting spacers? 18 x 9.5 should be flush in the rear...what offsets?

There is a thread that Puppetmaster posted last time that was helpfull in figuring all that out.

If you don't want to go staggered, AND want your wheels flush, then spacers are the only way.

I'd love to see the spacers that do that!
They must bolt in between the front and rear doors.

Yeah, my bad. Wrong plane/axis...

That comes from my extensive research at adding an extended CF drive shaft from a Z33

yeah i got answers from everyone, but its pretty hard to get stuff without a credit card online, iam trying local places and they all seem clueless, I guess ill have to get a prepaid Credit Card to help me ^^, all the auto parts stores and shops here that been here 60+ years and they just cant help me get a longer stud with the same thread pitch and shank...
i cant wait to move to Pittsburgh next month!

To the OP, your car looks nice, like the two-tone black and silver paint scheme.

FWIW, I have a set of 5mm spacers if anybodys needing a set. I wanted to put them on the rear, but after the install, didn't notice a difference. I'll be going to either 15 or 20mm after I sell the Altima.

With the the 5mm in the back, when i hit a big dip in the freeway, my back tire rubs the fender. So 5 is all i could go for me. Putting on spacers puts more stress on the bearings, to what degree, i don't know. Has not been a problem for me.

my aftermarket threads are acting like most aftermarket things
3rd time I took wheels on/off I had thread problems on a couple of the studs....
I am just waiting for the time I cant even get a nut on there.
