How low is considered slammed?

I used search but couldnt find anything. how low is considered slammed? I want to drop but not so low that it will put stress on other parts. I have KYB GR-2's and want to get progress springs which will drop 1.7" front 1.5" rear is this considered slammed or will i be ok? oh and will progress springs work with the GR-2's?

When you plow pavement, you are considered too low.

I would say so, I think most people would agree - except the VW guys haha they would say that both you and I are driving 4x4s lol to them, this is slammed, but it's too low for me. I'd never be this low in a DD...

and a really nice pic...

When you can't make it over a speed bump, LITERALLY CAN NOT MAKE IT. you're too low.
>2" I dont think is slammed, and progress isn't SLAMMED but it's low. Very nice stance.

I wouldnt consider him slammed. He's low but without that lip kit he would sit pretty high.

have you ever tried lowering a 00-03 maxima anymore than that??? i understand most make of cars can go lower but anymore lower and my axle will break in two... believe me i speak of experience, i almost crashed on my highway because the coilover was sittn in the axle boot, 6 axles in 5 months

You do know that there are two ways to adjust the height on KSports, right? And I know all about breaking axles. The lowest part of my 99 sits 1-1.25 inches off the ground and the coilovers arent anywhere near the axle.

i think its funny that "slammed" is considered so technical of a term

not to mention a car that low is useless IMO, although yours does look good hustle

I am enjoying my ride lowered, still on stock 17" rims, by no means as low as some of the rides I have seen. I am using S-Tech springs and KYB's

im about to get rid of the pro kit and the blues... im debating between KYB's+stechs or D2 coilovers.... leaning torwards the stechs for cost purposes

That's only true if you're an idiot and don't run camber plates or have a way of adjusting camber.

Essential1's car sits pretty close to his height and he doesn't need a lip kit. Plus he has bigger rims than Grandhustle.

i can make it over most speed bumps. Your slammed if you have no suspension travel. My car is pretty low, but i have progress coilovers and have plenty of travel. For performance, your LCA's have to be parallel to the ground.

I think that I am more than low enough, I like being able to carry passengers and not be "plowing pavement" to copy a phrase mentioned before.

well i guess i was really slammed... i forgot who i sold my front lip to but im pretty sure he can tell ya what the underneath looked like... also my crossmember use to rub over 90% of Marylands speed bumps (the one in my apt complex touches my side skirts)... im ignorant to drops (thats y i want mines even lower)... im going for coilovers again and my goal is to make it at least a 1/2" lower than my 5th gen ... the perfect drop IMO is when the car sits as low as a Nascar ( or the front lip sits about 3mm from the ground )

lol I'd love to see it too, if it's a 00-01 maxima i almost doubt it (not saying it cant be done, or pattin myself) the pics that i posted of my car is after the 6 axles and all the adjustments... like i said my first drop had my front probebly as low as the pics without a kit... it felt so weird cause my car didnt really turn unless i forced it and it was sliding (you actually here the tires sliding at a 10mph turn)... it only last 15 mins though, thats when my coilovers were in my axle boot... the black legend in the background in one of my pics was the friend who helped me install the coilovers... Me, him and my ex girldfriend almost died on the highway because i lost controll of the car and it was sliding out of one lane off the highway (luckily i was only going about 45mph)
