i've got bridgestone pilots on mine

 

I have the new hankook V12s up front. They're pretty good, but also pretty soft. I already got a nail in one (big hole, had to plug it on the fly) and leak in the other. But I can't blame the tires for that, just the ****ty roads.

 

Love my michelin Pilot sport A/S. Same tires as on my bike. Both get good reviews and are reasonably price.

 

I can't speak to the (new) Eagle F1 all seasons. But the Summer Only tires are exactly that: SUMMER ONLY. It is extremely dangerous to run those summer-only tires on snow or ice. I had an early winter that freaked me out like you can't imagine. The car was helpless as a baby, and had to be abandoned until the salt-trucks did their thing.

That scary warning aside, the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires are amazing. Yes, $170/each is expensive. And no, they don't last very long. But the performance of these tires is really high-end. And they grip like glue in the rain. Coming from Potenza's, the F1's will transform your ride.

 

Just put Goodyear Eagle GTs on to replace Eagle RSAs.

Very nice tire so far.

 

Can't go wrong with these tires I have them on my car and love it.

 

The stock OEM tire is a Bridgestone's Potenza's 225/50/17, I am currently using the Falken ZE912 235/50/17 been riding on them for over a year and half now and they are fantastic lots of tread life left and I drive between 30-35,000 km a year

I think its time to replace my tires...just went to walmart to ask them to rotate them before my trip to houston and they said they can't rotate them.....they said its their policy tht tires that have tread wear on the edge need to be replaced...........so ill probably get the falkens...or yokas

 

Did they describe the wear in any further detail? How much tread depth do you have remaining?

I went with Nexxen N5000.....local tire center said they have had good luck with it and they r quiter then falken ze912.....keeping fingures x'd

Ive got the Yokohama YK-520s and they are very good in rain and have reasonable dry grip with 235/45 r17. They are a very good reasonably priced daily driver all season tire in my book. The tread wear is also good unless they are abused...lol I think i bought mine for about 128 each with a 60K mile pro rated warranty though discount tire.

 

I just had those goodyear eagle gt's installed on my max, those are the quietest tires ive ever had, they ride alot softer too, great tires, they are also W rated!

 

I've tried a lot of tires in my day from Michelin, BFG, Avon, Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc. BFG's are great, but wear out quick (10-15k miles).

In Nov.2008 I picked a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS Pole Position and I could not be more impressed. They have a 40k mile warranty, Z speed rating, 400 Treadwear, 4.5 out of 5 stars and are awesome in dry and wet conditions. I WILL buy them again. I've got about 8,000 miles on them so far and loving them.

 

Running the Toyo Proxes on my '03.Wish I would have gotten the more agressive compound.I have a 6sp and spin the tires on dry pavement in most gears.No limited slip.DOHHH!!!!

 

Yet again - another thread of "LOOK AT ME" and what tires I bought....

TOTALLY WORTHLESS!

Not to thread jack, but anyone have any experience with Riken Raptors on the Max?

I had a set on my IS300 when I had it, and personally, I loved the way they handled in corners.

 

I vote for the Continental ContiExtremeContacts. They now make them in the OEM size.
