2000-2001 OEM Tailpipe Shroud

Hey guys, I had to replace my stock muffler with a Bosal aftermarket direct-fit unit back in the spring. The car's back end looks extremely weak without stylish tailpipes, and by luck, I just got my hands on a tailpipe shroud that the 2000 and 2001 SE models had.

Does anyone happen to have a pic of how Nissan originally secured this shroud that you can post? My shroud somehow does not go in all the way for me to secure it to the pre-existing stud on the muffler, and I thought I'd check in here first before I attempt to tap it in fartherl later tonight, or maybe drill some holes on the underside of the shroud and screw in 2 studs so they'll dig in against the tailpipe bottoms to get secure.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, really eh? I'm looking at it now, and on one side where a tailpipe penetrates, I see some raised metal sections on the surface that I would guess is designed to flatten so the thing sticks on better.

Okay, mallet it is! Thanks.
