3M Headlight Lens Restoration Kit

So my lenses looked like crap, Ive tried all the $20 kits you see so often, THey just dont last. Today i bought a new Kit , the 3M Lens Restore Kit, Most places sell it for less then $20, But with my discount i got it for $12 and gave it a try. The Results speak for themselfs.

The Kit

Before

After

Side by Side before and after.

I highly recommend this product, Though time will tell how long with last, Its a 3 step sanding process & then a final polish with included stuff.and you do it Dry except the final sanding process. Take the lights off the car to make it easier.
There is also a video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t1RBw0IGXA

I just tried the kit out today on my car. I get the hazing towards the top of the lens, but I also have heavy pitting in the lenses. If you rub your hand on the lens, it's rough. Ran this kit and now it's smooth. Essentially most of the pits are gone and the lens feels smooth. I'll try to post a pic when I get a new one. This is certainly works pretty well.

I can attest for the kit. It worked wonders on my 5.5 HIDs! Highly recommended!

The other kits don't last because you're not sealing the clean lenses! Almost all kits will work (heck even sandpaper) and get you nice before/after shots but they key is that
1) if you don't get all oxidation out, it'll return, and
2) it will return if you don't add any UV protection/sealant

Not sure on this kit, but if you do get a kit, make sure it contains a sealant/UV inhibitor that you apply as a last step product, or just buy it separately. Otherwise, expect fogginess to return in a few months.
