God I love county trucks

So my buddy is driving the car from teh stereo shop to the shop installing the new high output alternator. Heading down I9 doing about 50. There is an intersection at I9 and 138th where they are filling in all 4 corners with these huge rocks from the size of a grapefriut to the the size of a football. There are trucks filled with these rocks everywhere. all of a sudden one the size of a softball comes flying at the car. He slamms on his brakes and turns the wheel to avoid having it hit him rioght in the face! ever seen final destination?
so the rock hits the front bumper skips up into the drivers headlight shoots about 20 feet in the air and comes down about 2 feet in front of where the car stops.
take a look at the damage

so now th einsurance company is getting me new headlights and bumper I have a 500 deductable but the county is paying that once i put in my claim form.

Weird how strong the front plastic is. you can see how big the rock was luckey he hit the brakes when he di or he would have been eating glass and rock for breakfast!

WOW, sorry about that luckly no one was hurt!

Damn now that max has a black eye!

But shouldnt the city or whomever pay for that 100% NOT just the deductable? Why should that count against you as a claim! Insurance will pay NOW but you'll pay it back with raised premiums when renewal time comes around, JUST SAYIN!

Instead of waiting on the city. I called USAA (who is the awesomest btw) and they said it would be covered under comprehensive and would not count against me because it was completely unavoidable. so no increase in premiums.

That sucks man. Just be sure not to forget to yank out the rings before getting the headlight replaced.

Find out who is doing the work, county or state. Then you need to file a claim. My brother in law had his truck detailed when a line painting crew got paint on his truck.

In your case either the trucking company or county/state will be responisble. Don't act like a jerk, just ask how they are going to cover your damage. They have to have insurance to cover these exact situations.
