5.5Gen STS question

Guys does anyone make a STS that is shorter in height not just in throw?
i used to hv a 2k and loved my pacesetter
i hv found an STS but it only shortens the throw... im assuming its b/c of the stupid *** reverse lock
all info super appreciated

No, they don't make a short height shifter but someone on here did it by cutting it and rewelding, I believe. You don't need the reverse lockout unless you slam it in 6th alot. The Ford Focus has it and some of those guys cut the shifter and use the tap and dye on it, and remove the reverse lockout.

for all intents and purposes.... who the hell slams 6th gear? its over over-drive
to think tht ur really gonna slam from 5th to 6th either pple are silly
or there really are tht many horrible manual drivers...
ill go w the latter
