But but, your car looks so good with stock 17s.
|
^wow...
i want to see teh 20s in thought of being installed, also, they will fit IMO, u just may have rubbing when turning |
A proper tire size would be like 275/30 if you don't want problems with protecting the rim edge. 245s are not wide enough for a low profile 20". With 275/30 though, you will have rubbing issues in the front for sure, but the offset mitigates the inner fender issues for the rear.

i'm willing to bet that he's trying to get the stretched look on his wheels
|
maybe a little rubbing with extreme turns..
|
Stay stock. Your suspension is going to take a hit. I've had 20's for 5 years and the suspension is in diar need of an upgrade. I also just ran springs.
As far as your numbers I would say you might rub and you should roll the fenders. You will be stretched with a 9.5 as well with a 245. +35 should sit pretty flush for you as well. Again as far as running into problems, just be aware of your suspension and do any upgrades there first before getting 20's. (If you feel something is lacking) GL and have fun. |
The wheels im looking into are tempting, they are gun metal TSW's with 4 inch lip. and my sig, TE wheels are sitting in the Garage ATM, My car Rolling on some 18" 350z wheels for a little. I like to switch wheels from time to time.

I say go for it, I have 245/35/20s with stock suspension. The only issues i have are that in the front when making a 'U' turn or 3 pt turn, there is a little bit of rubbing towards the back of the wheel well but it has not effected my tread. The wheel well has worn through tho in that one spot. Ill take pictures this afternoon if it stops raining. The only other problem is that if i have people in my back seat and i go over a speed bump, the rear passenger tire "bottoms up?" and hits something making a brief scuff sound.
As far as spacing goes, the rear tire is pretty much flush with the rear fender, the fronts could use a 20mm spacer Also you can fit one of your TE's as a spare in the trunk without much problem. i dont know how 3 20's and a 14 will ride if you have a flat https://img401.imageshack.us/img401/2853/forumpic.jpg |
May look OK, but I have to drive on really rough/gravel rioads. I need all the clearance I can get. I'll stick to stock.
|
iv got 20's and have no problems what so ever.

It's been said a million times but to each his own obviously. I have 20's on mine with H&R's and have no scapping issues and have no problems doing a complete U-turn with no scrapping. I am going to get some illuminas next month because the odometer just ticked over to 80k and I'm still with OEM struts. But just like with any wheel I've seen plenty of hideous 17's 18's out there so if you pick a good looking wheel I think you'll be fine.

I think it looks good. Just like minw. I have 20x8.5 42 offset with a 225/35. Streteched and looks wonderful. To each his own. I need to lower mine now |
20s in chrome are the ugliest **** you can put on a maxima. why put 20 inch rims on a car that comes with 16/17 stock? its just getto and retarded. put your money into **** that will benefit your car.

And that's a big stretch for me... about the only thing I like as much as the stock 17" SE rims are the rims off the G35s. If you can make these fit without problems, I say go for it. |

im not a big fan of anything over 19'' on the 1-5 gens but there is a few exceptions like foellarbear ect ect and the wheels u are going to get look effing sick! giant chrome rims are just ghetto as fug. u just get so sick of seeing smaller cars roll on redic huge rims just makes it look like a tractor going down the road. cars like the 6+ gens that come with mostly 18'' rims plus, it dont look bad to go up a few inches because of the size of the car. there is a kid in the next town over from me with a 5th gen same color as mine with chrome 22s it looks like one of those hi crop tractors so dumb. if u do get them i hope u upgrade ur brakes in some way

Not everyone wants to beat a Ferrari in 4 seconds flat. Some wanna look good and make a statement. As far as wheel size goes that's why different sizes are made. My car for example rides better than stock and has zero issues. My speedo is still dead on and all. It comes to ratio. Also not everyone wants to be lowered to the ground either. Flame On.
But racers, the ones that have it in their blood, they grow up and do things like buy high performance 4-door sedans with manual transmissions. Um, here's another perspective. You can easily ridicule a Ricer just by looking at his silly ride. However, you have to watch the Racer drive before you can mock him out. I don't know what that all means, but it sounds philosophical. |
rochester that was perfectly said

i believe anything over 19 inch look better on 300 and charger. but to each his own.

I got 19 inch g37's staggered and the wall on the back tire is thinner than the wall on the front tire.. its a really sexy look. 245 on the back tires and 225 on the front, bridgestone potenza RE's. I drive in the worst parts of NJ with them and they take a good beating with no problems. I truthfully think that you shouldn't go over 19 inch. You should really try 19 inch. It's only 1 inch smaller and your not going to notice that inch, and it's also a serious ride quality difference from the 20's. The 20's will feel like your riding on 4 rocks and when you hit a hole your gonna be like wtf!!
|
^^^ ur rims are sex bro nice max

And yeah, they look great. Particularly off the S-Coupe. The non-S rims... not so much. And the 2 different styles on the Sedan... not so much. But the wheels from the S-Coupe are gorgeous. |
