IMO, I would leave as is... because it will serve some purpose. When you are sitting still idling and its a hot day... would you want that heat, which rises, going directly up to that bumper? Or would you prefer it sticks out just enough that directly above is air? I think it looks good just like that.

Your right near me!! I would love to hear that muffler. I am looking for a muffler that will give my car a little more noise.... I think it sticks out a little too much. I would rather have it more flush.

I like it. I don't liek things flush where everything washes up your car at idle.

What your saying doesn't make sense. That tip is going to heat and radiant heat...which is still going to be under the bumper. You sure you don't mean exhaust? Even if it's exhaust, it's going to take a lot of time before it could deform the bumper...

On a scale from 1-10 (ten being loudest) it's a 3, There's nothing unless your above 5K and that's because I still have the stock resonator on...But it's being removed in next couple days to make the sound a bit louder.

It should be about a 5 which is where I want it... I only wanna hear something about 3K...

If 50% of the people on this thread think it looks retarded, it probably does. I'd spend a few bucks and have it tucked in nicely.

i dont think it sticks out too much, my only pepeeve is the angle of how the tips sit... i always kinda like a muffler to sit at the angle of the cottom of the rear bumper (in our case) slightly pointing upwards... e.g Cattman, Megan, even Greddy... may not understand what im saying but its hard to explain... in this case the body of the exhaust looks good to me but the tips pointing down is kind of a turn off... looks good none the less

It sounds like you've got the option of pulling it in some more. I think you should do it, tuck it in another inch so it would less obvious, more flush.

Borla, huh? Nice. Wish I could hear that, too. Preferably a fly-by. All those sound clips revving a car while in neutral are kind of pointless. Give your video cam to a buddy, and do a WOT fly-by with that Borla. (pretty please)

I'm with the too much crowd. I think the bumper should be able to do it's job in case you back up a little too far. Don't know what would happen to your exhaust system if it got shoved forward but I bet it aint good!

A video will be posted in the morning....

Also it's a custom job so I can push them back and forward to my liking, It's a simple cut and re-weld...it's all stainless steel and only cost me $210, Don't know if that was too much or little but it works for me...

I'm just a little worried now about heat from the tips melting my paint or conforming the bumper... anyway the vid will be here in the AM...

Thanks...

Yes thats what I'm talking about, exhaust. Mine sits flush and gets pretty damn warm. I use to worry about it, but I must admit it hasn't done any noticable damage. I like the way mine looks sitting flush, but I do like the way his looks also, and was just giving an opinion about some of the benefit of it being a little further out, since mine gets real warm.

Also looking at your sig., yours obviously doens't sit anywhere close to the bumper, and if you notice the OP pics his is pretty much on the bumper, so along with the radiant heat you mentioned *plus* the point I mentioned, led me to say what I did.

Video works for me. Would look better tucked back an inch or so. Sounds fantastic though.

Until I saw the video, I hadn't realized the tips were angled down. Since you're asking for opinions, I have to say I don't care for the angle. If you can tuck them in so the angle isn't so obvious. Or lower the muffler a bit and use straight tips (IMO).

The sound isn't bad, but it's rather indeterminate. Revving the engine in park just isn't a real-world representation of the exhaust tone. Kind of odd that this is what 99% people do when making an exhaust video. You'd have to do a fly-by.
