1.) The vehicle must be stopped and the parking brake must be applied.

2.) Turn the ignition on.

3.) Move the driver seat to the desired location.

4.) Push the SET switch and then within 5 seconds push the memory "1" or "2" button for at least 1 full second. The indicator light for that memory switch will come on and should stay on for 5 seconds. After the light turns off, the seat position should be stored in memory.

That should work for you. Note that your parking brake MUST be on and the car stopped for the memory seats to work. When this is the case, just push and hold the button you set your memory to for 1 second, and the seat should automatically move to that position.

Ditto, I also wish my driver's seat would move forwards and back Needs a new motor, but it's all good. I should be the only one driving it anyway...

I have no luck with the auto seat or the memory seat in my max.

I can never get the memory seat to work and i have tried the directions in thsi thread and what the manual said but no luck.
Also the the auto seat that is supposed to move the seat back forth when you egt in and out works a couple times i get in and out then stops completly. Latley i have noticed it doesnt work at all.

Anybody got any information to help me because i love both of those options but can never get the to work.

seat moving back when the key is out must be in these condition:
1. auto switch is on
2. theres at least one position stored in the memory
3. the seat has never been manually moved from the stored position

if you have a 6 speed, the seat will NOT move back like an auto.

Any tricks on how to store the memory setting? I tried a couple different things already but none of them worked.
Once i store it, in what position does the car have to be (ex. e-brake on, car off, key on, etc) in order to hit the memory button and have the seat move to the stored position?

Then why do the 6speeds have the auto/cancel switch?
