Transmission gets stuck at 2.5K

lately i've been having this problem with the tranny. I have an 01 maxima.

its a randomly accruing issue but quite noticeble when going up an incline. At around 50-60mphs and going beyond 60mph, my transmission seems to get stuck at 2.5k. I have to stomp the gas pedal all the way down to make it "jerk" out of it...after which it works as it should
anyone else had this problem ?

Sounds like an MAF problem.

Try cleaning it with CNC MAF cleaner first to see if it makes a difference.

So what? Do it again.

If it doesnt help, then you will need to replace your MAF sensor.

Costs about $100 and take 30 minutes to install.

Exactly,^ many people think just because they've cleaned it than their problem isn't their maf, or the cnf maf cleaner adds a lifetime warranty on your maf. Go 2 threads up of ddown" need help ASAP! " or something by mu_036sp. Exact same problem.
