no problem! I mean before you spend $1200 on coilovers you should atleast know how they feel...let me know

If you make the effort to hop off the interstate on your way past town, I'll happily take you out for dinner.

I keep thinking, why is lowering the car so appealing to so many people? Maybe it's a west-coast thing that over the decades just became ingrained in the aftermarket culture. I don't know, and I don't get it. It's just not on my radar.

In this regard, I feel kind of like a minority member.

i just want it lower a little bit as long as it handles like its on rails is what i am worried about. my old car was slammed 2.5 inches further down and it sucked. i hated driving it 10 miles to work let alone on longer trips

okay guys my buddy who owns a performance shop, i asked him if he would recommend coilovers for my car, he said yeah they look good and everything but in about 2-3 months i would need to change all of the lower control arm. Is this True? cause he said its $150 each. and i really don't want to spend more money.

Thanks

<~~~ Regrets not getting coilovers.

Ride, is ok, but it gets brutal with my 18's.

Also not looking forward for the snow, I will be plowing my own way.

I wonder if The oem Mounts can be swapped out for the d2 top mounts. Any Suggestions?

Sorry OP- for the off topic question.

But I have been riding on nex GTs for a year 28000 miles and they rode like stock, ( I bought them used with 15000 miles!!!!!!!!!!!) But this past weekend I was driving a bit aggressive and hit a large dip. Kaput! my front is now leaking. It still rides fine but The only problem I see is that you cannot rebuilt them.

NEX GT review
Rode like stock
Ability to bring it so low that the oil pan literally touches the ground (never did that)
Not one noise evaaarr
Great Price

Cons.
Not a race inspired suspension
no camber adjustment.

So I am opting for the D2's due to the price and Florida's flat roads

Rochester, I was in the same boat as you. I never really like my car to be low (coming from a SUV driver). When I got my maxima, I never thought I will lower it. But after seeing other members rides and some peer pressure... I decided to upgrade my stock suspension to tokico blues and HR springs... Looking forward to the setup for sure.

i wasnt a fan of lowering a car either until i did my 4th gen which was a eibach drop (i loved it) and no its not a west coast thing, maybe its cause you never really tried it before... i love messing with suspension, just like i do with exhausts, just give it a try, i promise you will get addicted

I have the Progress gen2 coilovers. There great for performance, but the ride sucks. I am running 18's on it. Here's a pic of the coilover and another to see how low my car sits, right now it's sits perfect for track use.

Check out my brake upgrade, you can see how much bigger my disc is from stock.
