putting an HKS exhaust axle back on stock pipes

Basically, there aren't many exhausts out there that i like when it comes to looks... Megan and Cattman and HKS are what i can think of...

well HKS sounds nice and i wanna put it on my maxima, unfortunately, its only an axle back...

my question is... whats the size of the stock B pipe because would it REALLY make a difference if i put an axle back onto the stock pipe, then to a Test Pipe, to OBX headers?

i know it would probably bottle neck but how much power would you think i would lose by doing this if i still put a test pipe and obx headers?

you may gain 1 or 2 whp by replacing the entire catback system so replacing the axle back is pretty much just for looks and sound. The real gains are in the headers and y-pipe you can expect somewhere between 12-15 whp if i remember correctly.

If you really want to down the road cattman sells the b pipe seperately.

interesting...

maybe just replacing the axle back and the rest will suffice for now and then if he does come with just the Bpipe, then maybe i could just upgrade i suppose

i think you will be missing out,.. crawl under there and follow the b pipe,.. you will find flat spots on the pipe..

the way i worded my message was a little confusing i guess but cattman does sell just the b pipe section right now.

http://www.cattman.com/

if you click on "exhaust" and then scroll about half way down the page it is $275

I know what it looks like compared to aftermarket b pipes but the dyno doesnt lie.
