4DSC decal on your 5th Gen
I would have suspected the silver ones to be popular, I currently have the older interior mount ones installed and given my tint is 20% they are very stealth looking ... but the final design is so clean cut I though I would go for the white so it stands out very prominently on the darker tinted windows. I sure will post pic's once they arrive.
For myself, just the thought of going to Maxus this Summer and seeing this decal on another Maxima... well, that's making me extremely happy this weekend.

You should see the stack of envelopes I have to mail out in the morning
Hey erty67 do you have any thoughts of perhaps producing these stickers in "Black" I know most of the guys would see the sticker as a window mount, but down along the side shirt also does a nice job of displaying ones stickers. Just a thought should you have some extra materials kicking around in black, here's a side shot of my Max to show what I am talking about ... the font size in these is 1"

Good to know, I'll wait for the ones your shipping to arrive to check out sizing and will pm you should I have a special order ... thanks for the reply
If I had tinted windows, (and were targeting the glass for application), here's what I would do: buy them in both white and silver. If the silver is too muted behind the tint, try the white. Since they're only $1/each, the expense is negligible and you can explore all options. Personally, I think decals would look odd on the outside of a car window, but like I said... for only a buck each you can experiment.
I took one of Ed's prototype decals and put it behind the glass on my office door here at work. I've been grinning about that all morning.
Got my final decals from erty67 yesterday. They look perfect in every way. This project couldn't have turned out any better, IMO.
Unfortunately, the weather is well below freezing lately, so I'm going to hold off on application. But I'd sure like to see pics from the rest of you who have mounted your decals, where you put them, your opinions after the fact, etc.

I'm still rocking with the prototype on my driver's back door window, although I do now have 4 of the final ones in an envelope on my desk.
When these go on, I'll finally be taking the Cattman Performance decals off my side skirts. Sad; I love my cattman decals, but it's just a little too much text when all things are considered, and the race-me stickers are going to go.
I also have a 4" wide decal in the same Good Times font as the 4DSC, in smaller letters, and silver for the inside window, that says "ROCHESTER". This is going on my rear window, about 2" below the rear defogger element. (Thank you, erty67!) Figure I can pull that off around here, because it's also where I live.
Now if the temperature would only get above freezing so I can clean the car and do this thing...

Okay it is time to bring this thread backup to the top, it was not to bad temp wise today so I took advantage of it and removed my older window decal as it would have been really tacky mounting up my new 4DSC decal, (you will have to excuse the winter mod and perhaps the odd bit of winter weather showing in the pictures but all in all I am very impressed with the exterior white decal mounted on 20% tinted windows ... onto the pictures.

I had ordered a couple of extra decals as I had somewhere else in mind for one, here's where I mounted one of my extras (still have one more left, perhaps I'll just hold onto it in the event one becomes damaged)

OMG, Ghost, you've got the fishing hat of engine covers! I've never seen anything like that before. It's like, I don't know... some highly decorated military uniform with all kinds of medals and insignia. That is so wild. I can just imagine the look you get from family each time you come into the house with your engine cover in hand.
It never occurred to me to do that. That's amazing. The only thing decorative thing I ever did there was strip-n-paint the bolts, replace the burger, and paint the NISSAN lettering red.
I love how the 4DSC decal looks on your windows, BTW. You are the very first one to get pics up. Nice!

Hey guys, you know I'm thankful for the collaboration and support that got us to these decals that erty67 is cutting. Creative projects can feel very rewarding.
I had another creative project going on over the last few months, working on a different interpretation for the site banner. A huge amount of effort went into this one, with collaborative input from a lot of members, very much the same way as these 4DSC decals.
Anyway, if you haven't seen this thread yet, there's a vote going on:

They're both pretty good, if I say so myself. Mine is option 1, btw.
Fun stuff!

heres mine: silver, interior mount, 15% tint.
you cant always see it, sometimes has to hit the right angle, but i LOVE it. looks real factory to me, matches the other nissan writing on the glass. IMO interior mount, silver is gonna be the most factory looking.
anyway, its on a 4th gen. thanks erty, great job

Temps slipped over freezing today, and the sun came out. So I had my car washed, and finally, FINALLY got around to putting the final decals on my windows, replacing one of erty67's prototypes on the one side.

And here's the same, backed up to include the Cattman decal on the skirt. (And my gorgeous winter steelies! Note the sarcasm.
) I love the Cattman decals, but they're coming off this Spring. With the 4DSC in the window, it's just too much going on for my taste.

By the way, erty67 (Ed) graciously ran a few custom decals for me. Using the same Good Times font as the "DSC" characters in the 4DSC decal, he cut the word "ROCHESTER" out of silver. It's 5" long, and about a half inch high. I placed it on my back window, 3" below the rear defogger element.
It's extremely stealth, and not at all distracting from the rear-view mirror because it's lined up with the edge of the rear spoiler. Another neat thing, since it's a mirror image from the inside looking out, the rear-view mirror reverses that perspective. Meaning, I see the word "ROCHESTER" in my rear-view mirror right and proper. Cool!
I'm not sure this idea would work for everyone, but I can pull it off because my Org name is also my hometown.

Since erty67 gave me a couple of prototype decals while we were working through this project, I thought 4DSC would look kind of funky on my office door. The lighting in this photo is goofy, but you get the gist of it. As a 3" decal, it fits that door window perfectly. And being silver, on the inside of the glass, it kind of looks etched-in.
To date, only a few co-workers have noticed. Very stealth.
