That's a good find for some 5th Genr. Those mats are no longer manufactured.

I like my rubber mats so much, I may just keep them on next Spring. The black matches all the black trim pieces very well, and looks really good in the shadows. I love the contrast against the frost cloth carpeting. And it makes the aluminum pedals really stand out, which is nice.

Rochester: I like your pedals did you buy that or it came like that? But since my interior is already black it kinda make my interior look even darker i try to take a picture to show what i mean lol.

mist max2000: Rethink about it because when it snow, rain etc & your floor mats get really wet, you going to wish you had these.

Pedals are OEM on 6MT Maximas with HLSD...

...or you could do like I did; just put them on and pretend you have limited slip. In fact, do exactly that. It will drive HotShot crazy. And that's always fun.

Dead pedal is a common mod here, from a converted 350Z dead pedal.

Search and ye shall find.

Oh man, I've been following your hype with these floor mats, Rochester. Thanks for the Ebay auction hook up!

^^^Also, I forgot how huge the break pedal is in Automatics (regarding Maxin03's photo), compared to any 5 speed/6speed maxima. That's insane.

I'm pretty sure WeatherTech mats are just as good or better than the OEM Rubber mats like in that auction and in my photo. They just aren't a 100% perfect fit. Close, but not perfect.

I was going to buy WeatherTech if I couldn't hook up with the Nissan ones. I got very lucky 2 months ago with some help from RiceRocket in a WTB classified thread.

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...loor-mats.html

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Makes my day.

I hear that, about ruined OEM carpeted mats. My original frost cloth mats were trashed after 6 years. Then I went and bought OEM carpeted mats in black, for the contrast. But no matter how well you take care of them, your heels will eventually create a stained dent that's almost impossible to clean.

I'm curious to see how well these OEM rubber mats survive this winter. They're pretty tough, so I'm got high expectations.

Hotshot, I don't know exactly about the WeatherTechs... never seen one up close to compare. But if you use Teh Google, you'll find people are fairly pleased with them. And if you look at the ones for the 5th Gen, they're a pretty reasonable fit.

Let us know if you get them.

I keep my factory all weathers in my Altima year round. That divot that your heel creates in the carpet is annoying and the all weathers hold up remarkably well and protect the carpet.

Just because I have the image accessible here's another picture of the OEM rubber mats in a Frost Cloth interior. In this one, the passenger side is more clearly displayed.

But you can see what I was getting at about how the rubber mats nicely complement all the black trim, like the shift boot, the steering wheel, etc.

Holy Cow! They just jumped, didn't they? They're approaching their price when new... when you could actually buy them new, that is.

In case anyone is curious, the company that made these mats for Nissan went out of business. Rumor has it, their failure was fallout from the Toyota floormat debacle this summer.

p.s. $15 shipping is reasonable to cheap. These things weigh a ton!

Well I put them on my watch list, but they can come off it now. There are nice but not worth 51.00 plus shipping and duty coming into Canada.

50, 51, 52. That's pretty slick bidding.

I remember you and I talking about these mats a few months ago. Glad you got yourself a set. Let me know how you like them. I bet they'll amour-all up real nice. And with you in Nevada, they'll stay pretty clean.

Right now mine are dirty with salt and other winter crap. However, that is their primary purpose, after-all.

I have these in my car too, I was surprised how heavy they are. I also like that they say maxima on them. When i bought the car it had some super thin, NOS auto zone mats. This was the first thing i ever bought for my car.

mine were like $78 new if i remember correctly. Someone above said they dont make them anymore but some of you might want to check out your local dealer to see if they have any left
