My Speedometer is no longer working... I found a cluster and the junkyard but it is out of a 2001 SE Auto.. Will (Just the Speedo) work in my 2000 SE Manual? The junkyard said the part numbers were different but I didnt know if that really made any difference.

BTW if anyone has a cluster (that the speedo will fit with my 00 SE manual) and want to sell it, let me know. Dont care about color, as long as it is compatible.

i have a 02 cluster thats compatible do u want the speedo its self or you want the whole cluster?

Will this work on my 00? What will happen with the other screen under the RPM gauge?

 

the 00 and 01 clusters and different but compatible the 02 and 03 will not work with an 00-01. I had some trouble with my cluster and found out the hard way that the 5.5 gen clusters have different pinouts. All the plugs go in and it fits fine but if i remember correctly the only thing that functioned was the turn signals

The 00 cluster and 01 cluster differ slightly, the 01 has built in bulbs ( i think they are led because they are soldiered in and nearly unchangable) all of the gauges are soldered in place. The 00 gauge has gauges that just screw in and are very easy to take out and all the bulbs are removable/replaceable

You can get a cluster off ebay for about $35 if you get a 00 you can take out the speedo and swap the faces to match if you want. I also think you can swap over your odometer pretty easily in the 00
