How come my 5th gen sucks at drifting in the snow?
My 2003 just plain sucks at drifting, the abs is basically fighting the whole time. My 4.5gen maxima was so much better at drifting, i was amazing. Every time I attempt to drift my 5.5gen, a few minutes into the drifting my abs LIGHT comes on, will go away after i stop using the ebrake. whats the deal, is this the problem? And i just replaced both rear calipers, rotors, pads, everything. Ebrake works good, at least when I'm parked that is.

n00blet, you CANNOT drift FWD. you are just dragging the rear end, it holds for a bit on dry road and a bit longer on rain or snow but youre still just powersliding. to drift the rear wheels need to be getting momentum by the wheels getting power but not gripping for the slide, something that FWD cannot give
honestly youre just going to end up flipped in the ditch if you try drifting FWD. if you want to drift get a beater 240sx for $1000

srsly this will be you
youre sliding and counter steering but you are not drifting, you are just powersliding. you cannot hold a FWD slide long enough for it to be a technical drift. the only way you have a hope of holding anything with FWD is going fast enough to throw out the rear end for a fair distance

FWD drifting? lolz.
I do this when its snowy, but I wont call it drifting.
anyways, I had a spin on a public road.
some idiot cut in front of me while I was doing 40mph. I tried to avoid cuz I couldnt slow down enough. the back wheel skid on ice and put me in a spin 180 degrees.
I was the red car and had green light, there was no car in other two lanes.
black car turned right on red.

if i wanted to drift i would have got a Silvia, dont want to risk rolling my 3rd gen or smacking a curb sideways from doing something that FWD cant do

if youre braking in a corner it would understeer.
Yea, I didn't think that was supposed to come on, there is definitely an issue somewhere else. I pulled the abs fuse when I bled the brakes, Idk what it could be.

still don't understand the problem. its probably just because you are a moron to begin with. my abs doesn't kick in on my 3rd gen. doesn't kick in on my mom's miata, or my dad's F150.
Ima just go with the fact that you have absolutely no clue how to drive a vehicle.

in high school my friend had a 96 2dr golf, he always went snow sliding and one day he hit black ice and hit a curb sideways
he was able to fix it himself but he almost scrapped the car. i remember we went out one time (i never did anything really just watched) and he did a 180 on a 2 lane road and his e-brake got stuck up after, he had to stomp on it to get it down and threw some bolts inside so it would hold a bit
nobody else that knew him knows where he is or if hes still alive, we all think he rolled and is dead in a ditch somewhere

I can't lie, I do e-brake slides sometimes when nobody is looking
Hard to resist when you live in IA and the roads are snowy for a good part of the year.
You can control the slide with the e-brake and the throttle...and a little bit of steering, pretty easily.

Thank you MoncefA33, someone who is not a complete phaggot and knows what I'm talking about.
are you trying to say your car cant drift, or are you trying to say youre such a great driver you deserve a better car?
whats your point?
if theres a problem we would like to help. if its your personal thingy, live with it.
