Anyone ever use UpRev Engine Management?

Anyone ever use this tuning service on thier max? Is this exclusivly for the 350z only. Looks like some serious power gains are possible with this. Discuss.

The 350Z uses a different ECU so it isn't possible, in fact I don't even think the 6th gen ECUs are capable of getting UpRev flashes.

If you want a real good tuning solution, you still have a few different options.
  • V/SAFC -- Basic tuning, alters MAF signal to control Air/Fuel Ratio -- easy to hook up, cheap, easy to dial in. Self tuned.
  • TurboXS UTEC -- Full piggyback with on board datalogging, rev limiter control, injector control, ignition control, knock control -- very advanced and awesome control, most expensive/hardest to install, self tuned.
  • e-Manage Blue -- injector/MAF control -- sorta involved install, cheap, self tuned.
  • Technosquare -- ECU Reflash, remapped AFR, ignition timing, rev limiter, and variable cam timing maps -- no tuning necessary, somewhat expensive.

You will need a wideband O2 sensor to monitor your AFR regardless.

Yea, I was looking at a V/SAFC, but I'm a noob at tuning you could say, I need to read more about that turboxs box, I dont really understand how you know what settings to mess with ect. Thanks for your info/help.

Do a little more searching, quite a few 5.5 guys are running UTEC so you'll have some good info at your fingertips.

The same underlying principles in tuning an N/A car are apparent regardless of what you use to tune.

How come you didn't mention the Emanage Ultimate?

I want someone to make a piggyback that has an input for a wideband and will use the wideband info to maintain the AFR on the fly. Wouldn't that be nice LOL

Because as far as 5.5 gens is concerned, UTEC > EU.

PS; e-Manage Ultimate does that. Autotune + AFR harness + wideband serial output = tunage.

Osiris can be used on 04+ cars. I have a mind to find a non optioned 1995 4th gen and do a full 3.5 6th gen ECU swap + 6 speed with revup heads and osiris tune.

If I had enough time off I'd splice in a Z/6th gen ECU and run it in parallel with the stock ecu and use uprev on it.
