ANY ONE IN THE NJ/NY area that would assist me in a 3.5 swap in the near future. My engine may go anytime now, and i can get a pretty good deal on a 3.5. So if theirs anyone willing to help and has experience feel free to pm me. If anyone intrested can you give me a rough esimate of labor, and parts..... i can handle buying the engine.... just all the other stuff i need. Thanks (1997 maxima-auto)

 

motor swaps are never easy. there is always something small that irriates you.
auto or manual tranny?
make sure to have plenty of oil and transmission fluid.
you can look up what all you need to do online.
this one website i got my info from says you can do it in 6 hrs by yourself.
sooo not true.
you will prolly need 2-3 ppl helping and be prepared for minor problems.

thanks bro i just posted a thread on nyc maxima the cheapest i got was $1200 for the install i buy the engine, and i gota but a few parts...... one cool thing was that the dude said he can change my clutch and flywheel for free since he was taking it apart anyway. (of course i gota buy the clutch and flywheel though lol) you guys think this is the cheapest im going to find for the job?
