help, problem idling

Hey a friend if mine has an 06 nissan murano and has a problem idling. It's fine when he is driving around, but when he for instance stops at a light or stop sign then the rpms fluctuate, drop, and the engine cuts off. Since this fwd vq is the same as our maxima I figure the gurus here could help me out?

his IACV is busted...is the CEL on?
when the IACV on my 01 broke, it took the ECU with it
a very serious design flaw!

Also: Check SEL codes (if any) b/c it could be ignition coil failure

You can change the IACV, but will require patience. The IACV can cause the ECU to short out, but not in all cases. Take care of the IACV immediately, befeore(hopefully) it can affect the ECU. While doing this, address any other issues(PCV,MAF,EGR,etc...).

It hasn't got an IACV......it's a VQ35 with fly by wire throttle. Probably best to just start troubleshooting by getting it hooked up to a scantool such as a Consult ll at a dealer.
