keep blowing fuses with heat on/ starting???

hey,

i got a 5.5 maxi stock with 204,000km 6 spd with the 3.5 SE (canadian car)

Resently when i got turn on my heater i blew a fuse though it was a heater motor or relay checked the relay working fine, and checked the motor it turns on with different power source but not the main power. i have it all appart and not hooked up but it still blows the fuse even when i upped it to a 20amp when it should only be a 10amp then fuse is the A/C fuse in the driver side fuse panel. the a/c hasnt worked in for a while but this just started 2 days ago.

anyone got any clue or idea where to go from here? talked to a mechanic friend of mine who is helping me and we are stumped at the moment we think one of the circuits on the a/c is grouding itself off somewhere but dont now where.

thanks

You have a short to ground somewhere, most likely within the motor.

Do not up the amperage on the fuses, that's a good way to start a fire.

Or maybe the classic lack of ground?

If there were no ground, there would be no power at all.

well update for the people who cared.

I ended up unplugging everything and still flew fuses so i checked out info on all data and no info.. then i check on mitchell on demand and turns out the day time running light modual, and a few other smaller systems shared the same 10amp fuse as the a/c fuse.

so i unplugged the DRL modual and it all worked nicely. so i need a new modual if i want my high beams and DRL to work otherwise everything works great.
