Can anybody help?

I have a 5.5 gen Maxima with 105K miles. Yesterday, I parked my car in the snow. Since the car is lowered, it was all the way to the engine plastics and exhaust.
Today, I went to start it, it won't start up. The battery is fine, starter is good too. When I turn the ignition, it won't do anything, no clicks, not any attempts for the engine to ignite. No service egine lights of any kind. I checked most of the fuses in the cabin, all of them are fine. Mechanic neaby came, and with a special devise started my car. He said its something electrical, but not really sure. He is too busy and won't be able to look at it. The problem is, that if he starts it, on the way to somebody else it might die. I would like to know if anybody has an idea of what it could be or what it is so I would have an idea to what kind of mechanic take it.
Its Saturday and most of the places are closed, especially due to storm that we had recently.
Thanks for any help.

check the big 120Amp fuse right at the positive of the battery terminal.

After he started it, did he remove this "special device" and the car still was running?

As knight_yyz said check the fuse right at the battery, as well check that the negative terminal is tight, sounds like you have a grounding break some where.
