questions about torque steer and torque breaking
basically...what are they? i know they arent related but it just so happens that i cant really figure out exactly what each one is.
torque steering...the "problem" with the 2k2s. what is t?
torque breaking...i know its a technique for a better launch in automatics but what is it?
i have to learn somehow.

Re: questions about torque steer and torque breaking
In a nutshell:
Torque-steering is when your front wheels have too much power to put on the road that one wheel may tend to spin faster than the other wheel thus having an unbalanced effect on the pull of the car.
This unbalanced traction tends to "steer" the wheels for you, thus Torque-steer. This is a bad thing and is a common problem with front wheel drive cars that have too much power and no traction control system of any kind.
Torque-braking is when you rev your engine up to around 1.5k - 2k rpm's while either pressing on the foot brake or the hand brake (or both) then letting go when the green light comes up. In most cases this is good (e.g. given you have good traction) as you launch the car when the revs are closer (or at) to the powerband of the engine.
Hope that helps
