Quote: It was either a 4th or 3rd but had a HORRIBLE body kit (hard to tell do to the mods) with chrome EURO tails and projectors, duel cutout rear bumper with 1 dented up fartcannon muffler. The car was powderblue and also had a HUGE fiberglass wing that the upper deck was removed from, 3 stick on hood scoops (the middle one was WRX style while the 2 side ones that were set at an angle facing toward the corner markers were Mustang style) and it had a lovly set of diamond portholes up the fenders. The wheels were steelies and filthy.

Geez I hope I haven't outed anyone here.

And that field is about the furthest off road its ever gone.
No worries. If that kid ever set foot in this forum, I doubt he'd last more than five minutes. You should see what happened to the kid who wanted to know how to install a body kit he was paying for with daddy's money.

I'm sure anyone of you guys would have done the same with this dude. As in the OP you can see I wasn't out looking to race anyone I was just cruiseing around when they ran up on me and started their crap. I've been into building and modding cars for 25 years now so I know what cars not to mess with and I know what cars aren't worth my gas, his was the later.

I enjoy having it out with all the riced up Grand Ams, Cavaliers, Civics, Accords etc. running around here from time to time.

I usually mind my own, but when they instigate, I can't resist putting them in their place. Nothing makes my day more than the look on some Integra kid's face when he gets put back in line by a "grandpa car."

Quote: It's nice to see someone from another forum who can come in and have a grown-up conversation about cars. Really.

Most of the time, when this stuff happens, it invovles some Honda fanboy who comes running and starts the, "Yo, my VTEC will whoop all your azzes anyday all day!"
All day everyday twice on sunday

I never said my G8 was the baddest car in the world, nor did I ever say Maximas suck. I have nothing against the Maxima as they are very nice cars and have been class leaders for many years, however the moron I raced would have gotten the same treatment from anyone including member of this board I dare say.
For the most part I think G8 drivers are a bit more...shall I say grown up over a lot of the younger ricer boys. Lol, I personally wouldn't try to race a Ford Explorer with my Max with 4 people in it. The extra weight kills the performance in these cars. I'm guessing with the G8 even loaded down with 4 people the performance isn't affected as badly because of the torque from the V8. I know my brother-in-law's Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 doesn't seem to care how many people are in it. 420ft. lbs. of torque will do that though.

I remember when we jammed me and four other people into my Maxima. It felt like I had downgraded to a Prius.

Oh, and the car loved to bottom out at highway speeds over the smallest bumps.

There's an obvious cost to income relationship involved here that can be extrapolated into driver age. That's why the average (chronological) age of Corvette owners is 49 to 63. There are certainly other factors which contribute to Corvette ownership, some of them anatomical... but I digress.

dude those add like 25+ hp per port. the only reason he lost was probably because he got a bad batch of turbo ball bearing grease, he'd have pulled a Steve Austin on you otherwise....

Oh. I had to look up who Stone Cold Steve Austin is. He's a wrestler. Ironically, he's my age, too.

Crap, I'm old.

Haha you'd never heard of him before?

It's okay. He had his glory in the nineties. When I was a kid.

He pretty much disappeared after '98. The only reason I knew who he was was because my best friend in grade school liked wrestling.

No, man. For me, the name Steve Austin will forever be Lee Majors as the Six Million Dollar Man. Better, stronger, faster, na-na-na-na. His tin lunch box was classic. (I had David Carradine as Kung Fu on mine.)

1970's television. It's hard to get that stuff out of your head.

Huh. Last starring role I've seen Lee Majors in was the movie Out Cold.

I had no idea he was 70. Could've fooled me. Dude looks like he's in his late 50's.

I really like some 70's TV shows. I know it's before my time, but it's 1000x's better than a lot of the garbage that's on today.

There's garbage, but there's also some really good stuff out there today: Fringe, Modern Family, Lost, etc. So what if there's also crap like America's Got Talent... it's like our new Gong Show.

There's some new show on TNT called Southland that I really like. And CSI catches my interest every now and then. Futurama and Family Guy are good for a few chuckles too, I suppose. I just don't watch much TV in general.

Lost was okay until they started the whole "time-travel" thing...

...did you ever notice when the 5th gen crew (you, me, Moncef, Grand_Hustle, etc) get our hands on a thread, it always somehow manages to go spiraling off topic?

Well I do not have any 5th gen related questions at this time so I figure I'd like to give back to the community

Oh, no worries.

Have you seen the "GHustle I'm Coming For You" thread? That thread's gone to hell and back as far as its direction.
