Questions on differential

I have a 2000 5 speed maxima with a vlsd. I'm getting a new clutch put on
and some of the syncros replaced. I have 2 questions about upgrading the differential:
1) If I can get hold of a quaife differential, what will I have to do to get it to
fit?

2) If I can't get the quaife, is there anything I can do to upgrade the differential?

Thanks

Thanks, spoke to Brian at Cattman. He doesn't have any left and is not sure
if the quaife will fit the maxima with vlsd. IIRC it was designed for an open differential.
What would I have to change if that's the case?

hey quick question, do all SE's come standard with vlsd? what letter in my VIN would tell me that?

P.S. how do you like your y-pipe?

Nope they don't. the transmission code is on the firewall and i know it is determined by the letter at the end of the code i don't remember what the letter is though. The easiest way to tell is to jack up your front end and when you spin a tire the other one spins the other direction it is an open diff if they both spin the same direction it is some sort of LSD.

In case anyone was wondering, I found out that the quaife differential will not fit the 5th gen maxima with a vlsd.
