hesitation in 3rd gr. dont flame

ok so i was searching just now for a while and have looked before without finding something concrete. As you all know i have a 03 auto GLE. I have a hesitation at 3-3.5 til 4-4.5k. this is only in 3rd when getting into the gas. i have a CAI but don't think that would cause it. I've read on the manuals having this problem but never really hear any news on a fix from the guys having this in an auto. the best way to describe it is 1st, 2nd gear all fine, get into third and getting in the gas fairly hard it starts moving and then hits 3k or so and the engine seems to hover there and then feel like it starts going while still struggling to make it out of the 3-4k range. Almosts feels like a car losing fuel pressure. does anyone KNOW what fixes this or have a link to something stating what to do...

PS:some more possible info, the CAI piping is 2.75" , have cleaned MAF sensor numerous times, have done the ECU throttle relearn procedure and all still to no avail.

Is it kind of like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jmE4J5CfAE
My car does that occasionally when I get on the gas and it downshifts into 3rd.

i guess its kinda like that. if im not hard in the gas i dont feel it. like a steady throttle accel its not there but say i get on the highway i keep the tranny in third, get on the on ramp and im at 2k then get in the gas she starts moving and once 3.5k hits it hinders for a few seconds then just picks up again. ill try to do a video of it today to see if its the same.

Which MAF so you have? There is a certain reflash/MAF replacement you may want to look into, but I think it's only for the 02s.

Mines an 03. ill look and see what the part # is as well as when the car was made. pretty sure it was produced in 02. Also i don't think its a tranny slip. i watched some videos on the slipping and they fluctuate a couple thousand RPMs. mine just fluctuates like 200-300 and just kinda wanders at the same rpm for a few seconds. like i said remembering my carb days it feels like im not getting enough fuel. Imo sure since this has a computer the air flow isn't matching whatever reading the comp wants from the MAF. Im gonna take a video of it in a few hours and post it for anyone that may have a thought among with the info rroderiques77 was asking

My vote goes to these culprits, in this order:

A) Shift solenoids
B) MAF
C) TCM

all have been covered on the org.
