removing stereo with nav

I'm trying to pull my stereo so I can perform an AUX mod but apparently the trim is a bit different because of the navigation. The vents are attached to some trim that is surrounding the nav system which is making it hard to pull up. Does anyone have some advice on how to pull this out safely? I'll include pictures in next post.

Sorry about the quality, the lighting in my car made it really hard so I had to angle the camera so it wasn't in direct sunlight.

eh don't mind me, shortly after posting this I got the bright idea to pry on both sides of the vents after getting the frame around the nav loosened. Looks like a snapped a small clip at the top of the vent, but I don't think it will matter much since this thing fits so snug in there anyway. Next project, removing the impossible to remove plugs from the cassette player :O
