Stay silver. Black rims on a black car is too much.

Funny thing I noticed: I'm ordering a set of rims that look exactly like this for my car. Only difference is Discount Tire carries them, and they go by the name of Drag DR-34's.

i would go with the black with red pinstripe, especially if u have red calipers, would look sick. look like they would match the car perfectly

Actually, IMO, I think the gunmetal would look damn good with the black car. Honestly, I dislike black rims for the very reason that if they're too black, they make your tires look old and worn out unless you constantly keep them covered in tire shine.

That, and I think black detracts from lines of the rims. If you're going to get black rims, just ride steelies.

Just personal opinion, though.

Not picking on Mike by any means, he was just the most readily available example...

See what I mean about the tires?

Ae rims.. They're my uncles off his z and he's selling his z so he needs them back. The only reason i'm pushing against black is because I feel they take away from the car. They're hard to really show what they look like, especially at night.. I'd love to keep these but sadly I can't. I called msr they said the hyper grey I mean, not silver, have 2 sets left in the country and they'll be out for a while.. If I can still grab the grey I will. If not, black with red it is.
Anyone photoshop them for me would be appreciated..

I say go for the "Black" finish ...the time attack style red lip doesnt suit the maxima IMO...are you going with 19s or 18s?

OP, either way, but if you do go black, some kind of trim color on the rim lip is a good idea. Red (maybe) if your calipers are red, silver otherwise.

SLCPunk267 has a valid point, and a good example to back it up... although the owner of that dented GLE probably won't appreciate his car being used as an example of what not to do.

The red pinstripe on black/white (aka time attack scheme) wheels is a bit played out. Get the other ones.

SInce you are looking for opinions, stay with the silver. Black on black is played out. Black wheels with a polished lip, or black spokes only, looks decent tho. Matte black wheels scream "base model here, I need a set of cheap plastic hubcaps, please."

Silver wheels (I think) are easier to resell if you get bored with them. They can appeal to a broader spectrum of potential buyers.

You know what? You're absolutely correct in admonishing me for pulling that card. It shouldn't even be in the deck... old and childish habits, saying something is "gay" as a derogatory reference. Please accept my apologies.

I've fixed the post.

This behavior is far to mature for the internets. I suggest you re-edit you post to something less mature, and along the lines of: "purple and gold are teh gheyest most phaggoty, attention ***** colors. unless you like the penor in your mouths, you gotta chose dem black rimz."

"penor", 2slow? That was pretty funny.

OK, I should have followed the OP's link. Here are the 4 options on that particular rim. I kind of like the black with silver trim.

It's not a silver lip on the black however, it's white=/. Depending on if they have them in stock or not, hyper silver can even be in the options.

It's all me, no evil twin. I don't really work at work, so I need other activities to keep myself entertained.

I'd love a set of the Tenzos if I wasn't poor.

The slightly wider gap between spokes on these will run with the body lines of the 5.5 gen better, though, IMO.

I think the Tenzos look a lot better on an I30.

Those pink rims on the STi look pretty interesting. Different. But not bad.

Thats on a gtp Not a maxima though haha. If they have grey I think i'm going with that. I'm thinking about the hyper silver also. Last choice however not a bad one imo, would be the black with red lip.

I wish i could keep these rims, Hopefully I'll be able too but i'm only borrowing them at the moment from a family member. If I can keep them i'll most likely paint them gunmetal.

just tossing out an opinion here. you may have already bought what you want though. id normally say the black on black with red lip. but the black on those wheels isnt as glossy as the car so it wont look right, imo. so stick with the silver. or, just a random idea, buy another set of the 350z' and get them bronzed... pretty sure i havent seen that done. and it would look HAWT! maybe get some of the yellow/orange fogs, or paint your callipers to match... just some thoughts!

ebay 350z's
