Hey my tensioner pully is stuck in the down position I loosend the top "nut" then its supposed to slid up right? its the same one as on the 4th gen I think i mean it looks like it and I did belts on my 4th gen before

i cant get the thing to budge I loosened that all the way then it wouldnt move so I put PB blaster on it all over and hit it from the bottom with a rubber mallet and it wont move at all.

Am I missing somehting?

You have to loosen the nut on the pulley itself as well, not just the adjuster. It's the exact procedure as the 4th gen, heck, same part as well.

 

yeah it was just really stuck, and yes it is the same part. I got it tho.

 

My wife needs to learn from this tensioner.

 

 

Hit with mallet / learn / unstubborn etc.

Hit with mallet/ scratch head while thinking/ hit with mallet/ spray pb blaster/ hit with mallet......done.
