245/40 will fix it. I am pretty low(sprints) and only bottom out once in a blue moon. I had 245/45 on my stock suspension and I'd bottom out every now and then, I can't imagine lowered with that set up.

225/40/18 is the incorrect size for 18" wheels your speedo is off by 3mph. and there for setting your tach off. with 225/45/18 is the correct size....well super close its only off by like .3% from stock

if you run 235/40/18 that is the correct size. and 245/35/18 would be the correct size. but 245/45/18 is WAY to big never put thos on the front or your speedo will be off by like 10mph

Nope. No issues what so ever. I think staggered on FWD is a bit silly unless you put the wider up front but even still, same width all the way around is optimal. 225/45 on an 8" rim looks dopey to me. Plus the diameter of 225/45 is 26" vs. 245/40 which is 25.7" or something like that, so the difference isn't huge. There are a bunch of tire size conversion sites out there, double check those #'s. Plus, wider is always better.

A 235/40-18 is a smaller tire than the OE 225/50-17 in terms of load capacity. To get that back, I think you'll need to run your inflation pressure up about 3 or 4 psi over what the car's sticker pressures say.

If it was any worse than that, I'd tell you to keep looking for a better size.
