Did the 2k come in navy-blue?

My friend sellin me the max in the summer (for $5k) really doesn't know much about the car. He knows what it looks like inside and out, but when it comes to details, he falls kinda short. The finer details include:

sunroof
leather
wood dash
navy blue paint

I know it's the GXE cause it's auto and has just about no engine/audio options (i.e. tape deck). I've never seen a navy blue 5th gen max, and was wondering if he's mistaken it for the 2k1 aniversary edition that came in majestic blue. I don't know what shade blue "majestic" blue is, but I was wondering if any of the 2k maxes came in navy blue.

It's definately not light blue. It's a dark blue. Could I be getting a 2k1 for only $5k!? I hope.

the dark, navy blue was only available on the 2001 AE model... not the GXE.

The engines are all the same on the 5th gen maxes. They all put out the same HP and torque.

say whaaat? for $5,000? You can't get a driveable 4th gen (1995-1999) for 5 grand, not talking about 2000. Was your friend under buzz?

Yes, Navy Blue and horizontal red and white stripes were an option. They wanted to make the stripes vertical, but the Maxima was worried that would make it look fat.

Sorry, I've just never heard of Navy Blue used to describe a car color...the color of those double-sided polyester pants they used to sell at Sears 20+ years ago, yes, but not a car.

2000 Maxima did not have a dark blue option at all (Satin Blue something or other, but not dark blue). The Majestic Blue, the only thing remotely close to Navy Blue would only be on a 2001 AE or a 2002 model.
