Vibration Question

Ok, here is the short story. I had to change my motor mounts because my rear mount was busted. I had no vibrations before i changed the mounts. I put in new ES motor mounts and now the car is vibrating a bit at idle. Will that go away as they work in? Has anyone else has this issue?

Never had them but I have read enough threads to know that it will go away A LITTLE over time but those bushings are a lot stiffer and will always vibrate a little more. You will get used to it

So, you honestly didn't think adding stiffer motor mounts wasn't going to cause a little vibration?

well i did have that thought in the back of my head. I just did not expect it at idle. I figured i would feel more road vibrations

If anything, it's most likely to occur and be more noticeable @ idle.

Bought my ES torque mount bushings from Cattman, and he warned me before the purchase about the vibration. And when I told my mechanic what I wanted to do, he also warned me. As it turns out, I love feeling the engine through the car. And even if I didn't, IMO the positive aspects of the inserts far outweighs any minor discomfort. It's one of the few mods that are truly transformational, because it changes the way the car feels, and shifts, and hooks up off the line, etc.

It will soften a little after a few weeks, about the time it becomes the new normal. Cut yourself some slack, and get into it.
