Warpspeed vs. Stillen Y-pipe extra piece

Ok, I just got a warpspeed y-pipe but I noticed that the long part of the "y" doesnt curve up like the 4th gen one does, it actually looks short. I did some research and saw that stillen 5th gen Y-pipe is the only one that has that extra curve part that I guess eliminates the first precat.....

My question is, does that make a big difference compared to the warpspeed? as far as HP and tourqe And also, if it does make a difference, is there any company that sells that piece seperatley?

so your car has "cali spec" emmisions so you dont need the long piece...that is for 4th gen and 2000s...your precat is built in to the exhaust manifold (not the y-pipe) so a ypipe doesnt get rid of it...you need headers to do that

And "Cali spec" is regardless of where you bought your car or where it is registered, that's just a standard that Nissan met from the factory. Even if you're on the East Coast, you can still have a Cali spec car.

Sincerely,

Captain Obvious

PS - this was just an FYI for anyone unfamiliar with the whole Fed vs Cali spec thing

Damn yeap all that kills the horsepower so you have to go spend 500 to 800 dollars for some performance headers

Yes!, there were fitment issues. I took it to a shop and they said it didnt fit right so they had to "bend/finagle" the pipe a bit for the O2 sensor not to hit the oil pan. With warpspeed, its a hit or miss. My advice, is go with stillen or cattmann. I hear their pipes fit like butter....
