^^That's not even that bad, I mean you can see through them without them even being lit up. Sounds like a case of the cop just being a d!ck. The 00-01 SE tails look fine just the way they are from the factory in my opinion though. Nice color AE, by the way.

I was thinking about doing my tails the whole way like that because I loathe the 02-03 tails but I'm paranoid about somebody rear ending me and then playing the BS card that they didn't slow down because they couldn't see my brake lights because of the tint.

I don't get all the amber haters.
Amber is great!
I don't mind smoking, infact I finally found some black SE tails for my car, but I love the amber signal. Red means running or brake lights, amber means turning.

 

^ +1. Amber signals are much more noticeable than red signals and horrible combination brake/signals that so many American cars have.

 

I just finished smoking out a set of the Red GLE/GXE rear tails, still have to mount the 20% tint vinyl before mounting them in.

 

i like the se tails too just wanted to smoke everything on the car. its all good though he only gave me a little warning and i took them right off.

also i was worried about some rear ending me (no homo) with the tint on the tails

 

I appreciate your support on the matter, and that is exactly why I like amber.

 

How'd you go about doing that? It looks really good, very clean. I like it.

The first one looks great. Never seem them like that it's definitely unique.

 

Oh ok so you didn't actually do it then. I like the first one MUCH better than the second one. Much cleaner and just an overall better look. Spray-bombing the entire tail light on our cars to dark shades of black just does not look good at all in my opinion.

 

Unique tails are on my car. I love the fact that noone else has what I have. Also on the whole amber vs. red signal, I agree, the amber is sooo much better in terms of light wise. I can't tell you how many times I have to question a car is turning or not. Not safe. I would never red out my signals.
