all season falkens?

hey guys. I was planning on getting decent summer rubber and some nice winter tires as last winter was HORRIBLE with my old yokahamas. now, mostly due to cost, I am thinking falken ziex, not sure which ones yet (suggestions??) so will these be decent in the snow? I live in NH, so I am dealing with some good snow at times. not looking to go through 5" of snow, but the joke-ahamas I have now couldn't take even a dusting. they are USELESS. any ideas? I was hoping to get the summer out of my current tires, but they are really wearing down. thanks for any and all input boys

I had Falken ziex's on one of my cars before. Crappy crap tires. Sidewalls made of jello makes your car feel like its gonna fly off the road or the tires will slide off the rim in a corner. They did ride smooth...

huh, I had them and thought they were fine on my old civic, but that was a 95 coupe ex, so nothing I was pushing too hard. had good luck in the snow, but again, I was more than 100hp shy of what I have now with my 02 6speed max.....

I've got the falken 912s all season brand new.. 225/40/18 size and I'm not satisfied with them in dry or wet.. Not sure if a 235/45 would be a lot better.. I don't see them being capable of handling snow at all or low temperatures either. Pickup some used snows for winte off crqigslist and get some nice summer tires.. Cheers

I did not ride them hard at all, they just can't hold up to every day driving or any wet conditions....

There is no do-it all tire.

A tire that is great in the snow, is not going to be good in the summer, and vice versa. You can only have one...

Put some regular tires on your car now and put some money aside for the fall for buying some snow tires.

No lately for me, I had those tires 3-4 years ago when they first came out. They were terrible for daily driving a 2500lb compact I can't imagine how bad they would be on a 3300lb sedan.

I never understood why anyone who lives in a snow climate would ever get All Seasons. I live in the mountains of New Mexico, and NEED to have a dedicated winter tire for winter.

I have no complaints from last winter using Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's wrapped around the OEM 17's in 235-45 trim.

Have to agree.

Get some summer shoes, and get some winter ones. Change accordingly.

I guess because this is the first car that NEEDED dedicated winter tires. although I did end up with separate seasonal tires on my '00 Si. trying to save a little cash at the moment is the biggest reason...
