wut up guys i bought a trans from a junkyard wit 80k miles on it for 600 and put it in and the reverse went in extremly hard and sometimes grinded. so playin in safe i returned it and got another trans from a 04 non lsd and just out it in and now the reverse grinds most of the time and rarely goes in smooth.

any ideas wut to do or where to start i doubt got 2 different trans where both have bad reverses?

 

Your clutch does not fully disengage.

 

but it only happens in reverse and if that is trrue how can i go about fixing that

 

shift in 1st first then reverse
reverse doesnt have syncro

 

try what jason says. just have it in first then reverse, my audi did that and didnt grind when i shifted from gear but from neutral it did

 

I usually have to do this as well for reverse, if this fixes your problem then I wouldn't worry about it any further

 

ok ill try that but wouldnt i be going thru netrual anyway to get to reverse from first???

Werd. Also, try replacing the fluid with better stuff like Redline or that Purple stuff. It may help.

 

How far from the floor is the clutch pedal engaging?
