Car shuts off

O.k so for the past 2 days i've been having a problem with the car and im wanting to blame it on the alternator and see if you guys confirm....
First and fore most the car was running fine until the battery light and the brake light came on, a day later i was driving and all the sudden there was no response in the gas pedal, when i pulled into the closest parking lot i put the car in neutral and revved and the car revved, if i put it in reverse the car will roll at idle speed but no response from the gas, all windows, lights, AC, clock and everything was working in perfect condition i then had the car roll in drive back in the parking space where i attempted to cut it off and on again, when i did, the car wouldnt start, luckily i was literally across the street from an autozone, i got a jump and all was well, put a new battery in today and the samething just happened, (got frustrated and left the car in the same place not caring if its towed or stolen ) again the lights are on just as bright as the day i brought the car the AC pumps at full speed, radio plays just as loud, the windows roll up just as fast so im confused as to if its really the alternator or the APPS or maybe even TPS... somebody lemme know if this problem ever accured thanks

In my experience with maximas, when the battery light pops on, it's usually the alty.....replace and you should be set....

I had the exact same problem the other day. It was the alternator. I was two miles away from home and didn't want to leave the car so I ran home and got my other car. Me and brother had to jump the car four different times to get it home. But in my case, it was the alternator. I also had a small wiring issue, but that just compounded the problem and was not the main cause.

yeah, AZ will check and verify and sell you one w/ a LTwarranty. Might as well do that prior to said date.

i was just gonna say the same... its alternator... the reason why it reacts like that on the gas according to ghostmax is because the gas pedal is electric... we did our in the Mcdonalds parking lot, i wish my phone had battery life to take pics
