some some advice/tips on mods please! :)

alright, so i finally got some cash to mod my 2003 maxima se, with 106 on the clock. I have engine rattle at 2 rpm, ( with loads of research, i came to a conclusion that it is my pre-cats and that headers should fix all). I also need a new exhuast, as much is all rusted up, leaking, basically just falling apart. A new oil pan is in need, and new suspension all around, as mine isnt only too hard, but the right front one is done for. I also get horrible gas mileage in the city ( and not i dont drive like a retard, keeping it below 2k usually gives me about 100 miles to half a tank, that with 0 miles on the highway; on the highway however i get around 18-20 mpg, so im guessing the stop and go is wat is hurting me.)

P.S. timed my 0-60 down a straight road about a month ago with a friend in the front seat, and came out to 8 seconds.. idk wats going on, but i want a good feel to my car, something i will love even more and be proud of with all my heart.

Anyways i have 1200 to spend and dont know what to start with first, nor even wat to get, guys please help me out, i dont need top-end products, but something decent will do. Good suspension, and good exhaust nothing too expensive, im not a racer, but would like my car to feel somewhat new ( at this point anything better than i got would do wonders and show me a huge difference). Because while i drive it right now, i feel like its falling apart . Thank you.

Here is a link to some headers i found, but idk bout the site, can anyone give some feedback on it?

Sounds like the oil pan should be top priority, and solving your pre-cat problem if they are for sure defective. Maintenenace first! Good thing I guess is that headers can be considered a maintenance item since it solves the defective pre-cat problem...if $1200 is your budget I would consider OBX headers if you are very mechanically inclined. They require modifying a few things, but they are cheaper. If you can swing it, Cattman would be my first choice. Maybe suspension and cat-back last since you don't want oil to spill out and your engine to suck up pre-cat chunks. Take care of those two first.

OP, instead of blowing your money on mostly performance mods, why dont you invest in maintnence first since you have $1200 to spend?
plugs would be a good idea; fuel strainer, TB cleaner to clean your TB, tranny flush (if you're an auto) or drain and refill the tranny with fresh GL-5. coolant flush would be nice too.
clean the MAF. pull codes to see if your knock sensor is still good. a bad KS won't throw an SES light and that may be part of you're sluggish performance plus crappy gas mileage.check both drive axles to make sure they aren't leaking or torn. check belts and replace if necessary.
A/C service would be good too depending the last time you did it(supposed to service it every other year). check rear valve cover gasket for the notorious oil leak. check bushings on the sway bar and make sure ther're not craked or molding away. when's the last time you had a wheel alignment and a tire rotation?
those are some of the things that come to mind on a car that just passed 100k miles. whatever you have left over can go to performance mods.

a/c is a definite. plugs got changed.. tranny oil hasnt ever been changed by the looks of it, and is too late to do that, only thing i do now is add a lil of lucas to it every 10k. as for knock sensor.. how do i check that out? wheel aligment has been done a month ago.. same as tires, maf cleaner during winter.. t/b hasnt however, rest ill check out thnx.
